2023 Toyota Camry vs 2023 Honda Accord
2023 Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord
Honda and Toyota are two automakers that have been going head-to-head for decades now. The new vehicles from these manufacturers are another continuance of this competitive tradition. Both cars received redesigns in 2018. However, the Toyota model has only received tweaks since then; the 2023 Accord is an all-new 11th-generation model.
Price and Trims
The 2023 Toyota Camry has four trims available, with the base trim, the SE FWD, starting at $30,590*. The highest trim, the XSE, is at a starting price of $38,350*. Of these trims, the SE model features two types: forward-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
The 2023 Honda Accord comes with only one trim, the EX, at a starting price of $37,000*. While one trim may feel limiting, the new design ensures you're getting the best of the best and is in comparison with the Camry XSE when it comes to price.
Design
The Camry offers drivers a total space of 428 litres for storing cargo. The vehicle's exterior features bold 17-inch alloy wheels for stability and style. Seating for the SE is available as upgraded cloth or synthetic leather. The XSE offers higher-quality leather seating surfaces.
The Honda Accord delivers drivers up to 473 litres of space for cargo. The model, too, shows off a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. The EX comes with its seats as a cloth material. It's also important to note that both models only fit up to five passengers.
TechnologyÂ
The Camry SE features a 4.2-inch infotainment system, and the XSE has a 7.0-inch display for its system. The Accord XE comes with a 7.0-inch display that matches the XSE in size.Â
Power and Performance.
While the base trim of the Toyota and the Honda both have an Inline-four engine, the Camry SE receives a 2.5-litre Gasoline engine. It can output 203 maximum horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Comparatively, the Accord has a 1.5-litre engine that puts out 192 lb-ft of torque and 192 maximum horsepower.Â
Both models are forward wheel drive while they differ in transmission. The Camry offers an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Accord is a variable-speed automatic.Â
Fuel Efficiency
The 2023 Camry SE has a fuel economy of 8.5 L/100 km while driving in the city compared to the 2023 Accord's 8.1 L/100 km. However, the Accord uses more fuel on the highway at 6.4 L/100 km than the Camry's 6.1 L/100 km.Â
As the values are inverse, the Toyota is a better fuel cost choice if you frequently drive on the highway. However, the Accord is better suited to save money on fuel if you drive more regularly in the city.
